Department Manager (Telecom, Security & AV)

Years of Experience

• 10 years Minimum experience, of which minimum 4-5 years shall be in a managerial position handling projects related to Telecommunications in the Oil and gas industry preferably within midle east and particularly in Oman.

Qualification

• Bachelor or Higher Degree in Electronics & Telecommunications or any other equivalent degree (Mandatory)
• Additional technical Certifications (Plus point)
• Excellent spoken and written English (Mandatory)
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Mandatory)
• Oman driving license (Plus point)

Roles and Responsibilities

• Managing presalespost sales and client interactioninterfaces, building relations with stakeholders. Translate project specific information requirements into efficient system configurations and related user instructions.
• Prepare functional specification and manage the development and implementation of project specific applications and/or interfaces. Deploying functional solutions, such as creating, adopting and implementing system test plans, which ensure quality and integrity of the system.
• Leading teams across cross-functional disciplines. Focused teams on business objectives and tracked progress to ensure project milestones were completed on time, on budget and with the desired results.
• Analyze business processes, procedures and work practices and recommending improvements to business and systems performance.
• Co-ordination with designFEEDEPCEPCC teams and technical clarifications for clientsvendors.
• Support the project team in achieving compliance with the Clients specification and meeting the operational and business objectives of the project.
• Prepare project estimates and control spending within the allocated budgets.
• Contract management and stakeholder management. Vendor, Distribution and reseller management.
• Achieving annual revenue and profitability targets.
• Improving existing customer base and on boarding new clients.
• Prepare the technical and sales strategy for the department.
• Onboarding and technical review of resources, periodic review of resources.
  

Technical Skills

• Expertise in Telecom Systems like Fiber optic networks, Data and Telepony, Hotline system, SDH, DWDM, Network design, Radio systems like TETRA, DMR, etc. and Security systems like CCTV, Access Control, Intrussion detection, PAGA, and Telecom interface management systems like PSIM etc.
• Capable administrator who understands the need for strategic plans, proper resource allocation, production methods, and leadership to coordinate people and resources.
• Preparation Technical & commercial offer for Tenders, RFQ’s, leads etc…
• Preparation of high level documentation/drawing of all Telecom facility system solutions.
• Selection of best Telecom products as per customer specifications, customer requirement and International Telecom standards.
• Preparation of detailed BOM as per tender requirement/drawings/site visit/customer input.
• Coordination with Suppliers/manufacturers/vendors/distributors for technical & commercial offers.
  
• Conduct Site survey and collection of all data required to prepare the solution.
• Hands-on-experience in conducting several meetings with customer to understand their need and finalizing the Bill of Material.
• Preparation of final costing sheet and need to review and take approval from all concern departments.
• Preparation of Technical presentations and presenting to customers about proposed solutions.
• Order closing with providing the best technical & commercial solution.
• Handing over any new work order to the project team for execution & supporting project team whenever required.
• Responsible for company yearly target order booking value.
• Expertise in configuring, implementing and operational support of Telecom systems.
• Capable of delivering large-scale, complex solutions with a focus on technology transformation; collaborated with leadership teams to evaluate and solve technology challenges.
• Knowledgeable in PMO methodologies, service delivery, FAT, IFAT, SAT etc.

Technical Certifications

Any technical certifications in Fiber optic networks, Data and Telepony, Hotline system, SDH, DWDM, Network design, Radio systems like TETRA, DMR, etc. and Security systems like CCTV, Access Control, Intrussion detection, PAGA, and Telecom interface management systems like PSIM etc. shall be a plus.
